Campaign

The most effective advertising campaigns always have a single strong concept or message, this message is translated through every part of their visual communications. For my campaign I wanted to create one for an existing brand already just to make things faster and also it will be good pick from a wide range of campaigns that have already been done to gain ideas and inspiration.

Our tutor showed us an example of a campaign called "THIS GIRL CAN" which basically promoted that women can do anything an man could do, or just women can do anything period. I really like this campaign ad because of the way it portrays its message because everyday the media always slaps models with the image to be thin. Do not get me wrong there is nothing wrong with being thin but thats not the only size females are, they come in all shapes and sizes and can wear and do whatever want. To me it speaks to women to be unashamed for example the use of text just made the advert just more inspirational "Sweat like a pig" i liked that because believe it or not women do sweat... yeah bet you haven't seen an advert with a woman fully sweating and im not talking about the spray of water to make you shiny.

The next campaign we were shown was the nike "ARE WE RUNNING TODAY?" campaign to promote running under any circumstance, whenever you have time to spare in your day, go for a jog or a run there is literally no excuse! This advert was kept clean and simple which i really liked because they were able to communicate their message simply using fast cuts of text and used it along side a humorous message.

For my own researched i looked at the campaign to promote adidas "FIRST NEVER FOLLOWS". this one has got to be one of my favourite campaign adverts ever. I don't like Manchester united but i do like what they did to show off their new signing Paul Pogba. Adidas had used endorsement to promote their brand and Manchester united. Using Stormzy as well as his song will surely grab viewers attention because...its Stormzy. But i would say it lacked to promote a message effectively because all i read was "first never follows" and that was it maybe it was to just promote the brand on its own, who knows. Still a cool advert.

Due to my upcoming interveiws i didn't get enough time to explore what i wanted to fully to promote in my campaign for Nike So i kept thing simple but in my opinion effective at the same time. Taking inspiration from nike and adidas i mergerd both aspects that i really thought stood out to me and merged them into my own campaign to promote "greatness and success".

From the use of text from the nike ad to the music in the adidas ad I was able to create this.
