We were told to go out into Greenwich station and look out for all the way finding points we could. One thing i did notice is that there is a lack of colour. The entire station was very boring not everything was clear. The most the station had was a couple arrows and words. It may be easy for us londoners to get around but for those who are tourists or looking for the O2, something so simple has been proven to be so difficult.
There were some good examples of way finding on the Behance website that are really good to take inspiration from.
Above are good examples of how way finding should look like. Everything around should give you a sense of direction. I like the use of colours because they are good visual representations and colours are simply easier to follow aswell as having some text. When marketing colours are one of the main aspects needed to attract a customers attention. So i thought why not do the same in way finding colours are what attracts peoples attention so following colours will be a smart way of getting people to know where they are.
So taking inspiration from both Behance and Mirrors edge i was able to develop my ideas.
Development and planning.
Final outcome.
Notable mentions: Johnson banks, the company that designed the Ravensbourne logo and the signage within the building.
