week 3 WE MADE A FILM...

This had to be the most interactive and fun assignment we had to get through as a group. It was very awkward to begin with because we had been paired up with different people that we have hardly spoke to in the class so that made things very slow to start off with. Each group had to pick out a word on a piece of paper from an envelope, and whatever word each group got they had to create a film from as well as a poster.

To come with ideas quicker our tutor told us to draw/write down our own individual ideas onto a piece of paper for five minutes. After the five minutes we had to share our ideas onto a a1 piece of paper. After all the ideas and discussions and jokes we came to an agreement about the storyline to be about a delivery of a "Package" that had a twist at the end. We wanted to stand out from the other groups, so we took inspiration from the Charlie Chaplin silent movies, and also make it black and white with no dialogue but slides of what was said after each conversation.

If were going to pull this off we wanted to utilise a green screen to intentionally make the film look bad in a humorous way to make it that much funnier. It was a difficult task because the green screen was the centre of the entire film. We took out  small green screen from the CLR but it was too small because most of our characters were too tall and it made it harder for us to edit in Final cut pro x and iMovie. Luckily for us we stumbled across a room on level 2 that had a huge curtain that just so happened to be green so we were less limited and took the opportunity to add more funny scenes than we intended.

It all worked out in the end and everyone in the group was proud and happy, oh and well we are all friends now!
