

I didn't like any of the outcomes because it did not relate with what i envisioned and it looked too basic and nothing like a magazine because it lacked page furniture and the conventions to give it that magazine feeling. Although i id realise that i did like the bright colours and they made everything much more visually appealing.
For my second attempt I looked at time out magazine for inspiration. Their magazines sometimes uses illustrations or simply rely on typography on their front cover. I used a simple masthead to keep things as minimal as possible. The sun is at the top to represent the middle of the day hence the colour blue as the background because thats usually the colour of the sky at that time of day. The magazine on the right is grey to connote darkness. The sun/moon is on the right to represent the sun setting or the moon. When the moon is out it is usually dark hence the dark and grey coloured background.
