Not so long ago David Beckham was one of the most hated men in football. In 1998 Beckham was given a red card and sent off against Argentina for childishly kicking Diego Simone when he claimed to be fouled by him. The entire county said that, that red card was the soul reason why England got knocked out of the world cup. He was ridiculed, called a shmae to his own country by his own country. There were doubts that he wouldn't be able to cope with the abuse he was receiving.
David calles this the most toughest moment of his career. In an ADIDAS campaign ad called "Impossible is nothing" he said he received death threats and that he just feel safe for three years. He felt 'alone'. He used a saying " The world is round" He was at the top at manchester united but then when straight back down in 1998. But rose back to the top again by taking England to the world cup finals with a last minute free kick that "Shook the world".
Linking to my FMP may not be able to be endorsed by David Beckham but i can use the same approach and take accounts from people about the low times in their ives and how they overcame them, something that delivers a positive message. People who watched this ad can see that even the most iconic people go through hardship and have their low points but we are no different. Anybody can reach their goal, any one can pick themselves back up. Again Its all about the message that is being delivered that brings the campaign to life. Maybe i could use my friends and ask them a few questions about their hardships and what they did to overcome them. So this could be my next step.
