photoshop! Day 2

I carried on creating mock ups for the names i chose to use for my campaign just to see what i could do differently. I started off fresh and started to move conventions around I wanted the 1OAK to be the main focus of the zine. I felt like it being in the centre just makes it that important. This time I wanted as little text as possible, I didn't want too much going on on the front cover. So these ideas are what I felt suited what i was going for.  The first one i thought I could be a simple concept by just having the name of my zine and the editors  name at the bottom. However I did also consider the fact that its is sort or misleading because there isn't anything to imply what the reader may be reading in the zine and the colour black; isn't really appealing.

On the left i added an image of my friend Hyatt, the image is clear, bright and vibrant. I guess this is a step up from just a black cover with a logo. At this point i think having an image to compliment the image logo is necessary it will make my one just a bit more interesting. I took off my name because i realised majority of the zines I've come across do not have the editors name at the front, its sometimes hidden inside the zine maybe on the first couple pages or at the end at the back of the zine. I didn't even like that look anyways, it makes it look more like a book like that. I even tried to add more conventions to give it more nice visual aesthetics. I placed the names of the people that will be in the zine on the front cover of the zine.
The more I moved the conventions around the more i ideas I came up with. I almost forgot that i wanted my zine to look minimal and clean. For this next concept i played around with negative space again, all of the white space that is left around images just makes me feel calm, my eyes are not working too much. I even tried to flip the logo around just to try out new looks.

One more concept I tried was that I to put as much focus on the front cover image as possible, so i thought what i could to do so. I tried to move all the text to one side of the zine while having the main image at full bleed.
